Prevention
Choosing group travel shows that you recognize there might be a chance of encountering contagious illnesses during your cruise, tour, or even during your leisure time. At Cooee, your travel health and wellbeing in Australia is a top priority. Through our Cooee Tours Health & Wellbeing commitment, we aim to create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone and warmly invite our guests to adopt preventive measures to stay healthy.
If you have any concerns—whether they stem from pre-existing conditions or other reasons—or if you have health-related questions at any point, please feel free to talk to us when you book your trip. We are here to help! Here are some friendly prevention tips to consider while travelling:
- Masks are typically optional but may be required at any point during the tour
- Wash/sanitise your hands regularly
- Avoid touching your face
- Stay hydrated
- Know your limits
- Follow instructions from your Tour Director at all times
If you become unwell
We require guests who are displaying any symptoms of illness (as listed below) to follow these steps:
- Advise their Tour Director as soon as possible.
- Wear a fitted mask over their nose and mouth at all times.
- Follow instructions from their Tour Director regarding physical distancing.
- Maintain these precautionary measures until at least 24 hours after symptoms have resolved or, in the case of COVID-19, after a negative test.
Symptoms of respiratory illness
- New or worsening cough and/or sore throat
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Runny nose and/or sinus congestion
- Fever or chills
- Muscle or body aches
- Loss of taste or smell
- Extreme fatigue
- Headache
COVID-19 Requirements
Although local health authorities have lifted the isolation mandate, we still encourage everyone to consider it as a helpful way to minimize the spread. It’s up to each individual experiencing symptoms to decide on seeking medical attention or testing. If you find yourself testing positive for COVID-19 or experiencing serious health concerns, kindly let your Cruise/Tour Director know. We also kindly ask you to follow our staff’s guidance on wearing masks and maintaining physical distance.
If staying reasonably isolated is challenging, please understand that the APT Travel Group may need to make adjustments to support the well-being of all guests.
